• Advanced 11v11 Match Recording: Xsens suits capture millions of data elements from professional football players during real, intense 11v11 matches. FIFA 23 includes advanced 11v11 match recording data, featuring two new motion capture shots with professional teams, including a first for FIFA to capture motion in a women’s match, and data from five training sessions, resulting in more accurate animations than ever before in the EA SPORTS FIFA franchise.
• Machine Learning: Advances in our proprietary advanced machine learning algorithm bring realism to FIFA 23 in more football situations. The algorithm, which processes more than 9.2 million frames of advanced match recording, records new animations in real-time to create natural and realistic movements of footballers through various interactions on the field in FIFA 23.

• Technical Dribbling: A completely new dribbling system allows attackers to more carefully calculate their way to the ball. Animated transitions are generated using machine learning between each touch while dribbling, providing next-generation visual effects and variety of movement with the ball at your feet. Whether you’re going up against a defender to keep pace or keeping the ball close to deny an opponent, the ultra-responsive dribbling makes the movements of the world’s best players smoother than ever before.
• Active Defense Based on Machine Learning: Machine learning technology is based on real-world defensive situations and movements taken from advanced 11v11 match recording data to redesign FIFA 23’s active defense system, creating more natural animations for situations where defenders face forwards closing in on them.
• Acceleration During Different Times: The new acceleration mechanic brings a new level of individuality to how players reach top speed in FIFA 23. From explosive acceleration from the start to more controlled or sustained changes of pace, players will now reach their maximum speed during different times, creating more variety in player movement and gameplay in FIFA 23.
• Combined Shots on the Ball: New animations based on HyperMotion2 allow for a more natural transition between controlling the ball and hitting. Combining precision and fluidity, longer high-quality animations create one continuous motion as players catch the ball, spin it, and kick it towards the goal.
• Dynamic Resistance of the Goalkeeper to Headers: The evolution of the interaction technology between the two players synchronizes their animations, making goalkeepers jump to meet crosses from opposing attackers, creating cleaner results when goalkeepers take balls in the air.

• Reworked Standard Positions: The rework of standard positions gives you more control over free shots, penalties and corners, allowing you to choose where you make contact with the ball to change direction, trajectory, spin and more. • Physics on the Field: Updated physics in FIFA 23 make a number of interactions on the field more natural and realistic. 
  • Advanced Impact Physics: Thanks to advanced impact physics in FIFA 23, players’ individual limbs more naturally affect the result when defenders block the ball. Ricochets and blocks made by the hands, feet and even fingers of defenders and goalkeepers will now have more realistic results determined by the impact of the ball on them, as they absorb the force of the impact and affect the path of the ball, creating more visually authentic ricochets due to speed and force of each individual hit.
  • Physics of Interaction with the Net: New net physics account for player movement, reacting to individual limbs and creating more natural interactions with the net as players run, slide or fall into the gate.
  • Player Awareness: A new collision prediction system increases players’ awareness on the field, allowing them to move intelligently to avoid tackles and collisions.
