If your house is not connected to a gas grid, you need to look for alternative types of heating. Connected electrical grid is more common than connected gas grid, which means that an electric boiler can be used in most cases.
Apparently, many of us went through two days of hell during the development and approval of a gas project. In addition, all this costs a lot of money. When using electric boilers, all this is not necessary.
Even compared to an inexpensive gas boiler, an electric one will cost less. And with a domestic heat pump, the difference can be up to tens of times. More demanding consumers will say that the energy efficiency of a domestic heat pump is higher, and when using it, electricity bills will be lower. This is true. But let's count the investment. Suppose the cost of 9kW electric boiler with a programmer is UAH 12-15,000. The cost of a heat pump of similar capacity will be 10-15 times higher. In addition, the heat pump requires additional equipment, which can cost at least half of its own price. And that's without installation!
Connecting an electric boiler to an existing heating system can cost approximately UAH 3,000. And to connect the heat pump, you will have to spend several times more money. So, if we count the initial investment, we will see that this difference will be compensated for decades in electricity bills. At least when it comes to heating a residential building with an area of less than 200 m2, it is better to use an electric boiler.
