Oracle has announced changes in Oracle Linux Support products that took effect on March 17, 2025. The updates include the introduction of new SKUs for Oracle Linux subscriptions, adjustments in pricing, and optimization of Oracle Linux Premier support editions. All this will help provide customers with more flexible and efficient service options.
The changes will especially affect users who use KVM virtualization, as Oracle allocates support levels depending on the number of virtual machines per CPU pair. This approach will allow companies to more accurately plan costs and receive the required level of service according to their needs.
Also, while introducing updated SKUs for new orders, Oracle is retaining the ability to extend existing contracts using the old SKUs. This will give customers time to adapt to the new environment while maintaining continuity of support and cost planning.
Updated Oracle Linux Support Products:
Renewals of existing Oracle Linux support agreements will be done through existing SKUs, which will remain active, but only for renewals of existing contracts. Below are the SKUs with the corresponding description changes:
If there are any changes during your support renewal, such as an increase in the number of customers, service level adjustments, or contractual parties, you will need to use the new Oracle Linux Support products.
