Projecta is a European projection screen specialist founded in 1952 by Cees Sprengers. The company built its manufacturing base in Weert, The Netherlands, and local production and logistics remain central to its value proposition.
In 1991 Projecta and Da-Lite became one company, combining European manufacturing and market focus with Da-Lite's long projection-screen heritage. Over the years, innovations such as HD Progressive, Parallax ALR and SightLine were introduced across the combined portfolio.
In 2017 Legrand signed and completed the acquisition of Milestone AV Technologies — the group behind brands including Da-Lite, Projecta and Chief — strengthening its AV infrastructure segment under Legrand | AV.
In 2023 Legrand | AV announced that Projecta and Da-Lite would continue as a single projection screen brand under the Da-Lite name to provide clarity and consistency for customers worldwide.
Importantly for EMEA customers, Projecta's operational identity remains: production and storage stay in Weert, delivery times and service levels remain, and customer service and technical support continue from the Netherlands office while only the brand name transitions.
