In early May 2025, Lenovo introduced a new generation of ThinkSystem storage systems (SDS) — the DE, DM, and DG series. These solutions are designed to deliver optimal performance and efficiency through integrated data protection and resiliency features that transform data operations and reduce risks, unlocking their full potential through AI and modernized data management approaches.

DM and DG Series

ThinkSystem DM3200F, DM5200F, DM7200F, DG5200, DG7200, and DM5200H

The updated SDS lineup, built on ONTAP 9.16.1, is tailored to meet the needs of mid-sized businesses for performance, simplicity, capacity, security, and high availability. The systems come in a 2U rackmount chassis with dual controllers. All DM and DG models feature similar chassis designs with identical front and rear onboard ports and HICs.
