InkPoster is an innovative Swiss brand founded by PocketBook, a company with over 17 years of experience in developing devices based on electronic paper technology. The idea for InkPoster was born in 2013 at PocketBook's headquarters in Switzerland, when a collection of vintage posters inspired the team to create a new type of digital display — one that preserves the aesthetics of a real canvas while being dynamic and adaptive. After years of waiting for the right technology, a new generation of color ePaper emerged in 2018, making it possible to bring this idea to life.
Technology and Features
InkPoster is the world's first color ePaper art poster, developed in collaboration with E Ink and Sharp. The devices use advanced E Ink Spectra 6 technology, which reproduces images with the authentic texture of real paper and rich colors, without glare or harmful blue light. The 28.5" model is additionally equipped with Sharp IGZO technology for faster image updates. A unique feature is zero energy consumption when displaying a static image and operation for up to one year on a single battery charge, making InkPoster an environmentally safe and energy-efficient solution.
Recognition and Awards
InkPoster was introduced to the world at CES 2025, where it received widespread media recognition and awards from The Verge and Esquire Gadget Awards. The InkPoster Tela 28.5" model was awarded the prestigious German Design Award 2026 in the Excellent Product Design - Entertainment category - one of the most respected design awards in the world. The jury noted the refined balance between digital innovation and traditional poster aesthetics, as well as the high quality of color and texture reproduction.
